Just Stop And Think

*sigh* guys these past few days have been incredible. It kind of sucks that five of my most favorite people are gone on their own adventures. BUT, I think that it has kind of been a blessing. And the more I recognize this idea, the more true it becomes. From Saturday til today (and hopefully tomorrow) I have had an extreme focus on my faith. And not in a weird, coltish, ULTIMATE CHRISTIAN type of way, but more in a "opened my eyes" type of way. It gave me a new perspective on life and on religion. It is all of a sudden hitting me that today, tomorrow, friday, sunday....they aren't DAYS at our desposal. If today was just another day, we wouldn't have it. "There is nothing normal about it, this place is amazing...gorgeous, don't miss it". I plan to not miss ANOTHER day. I can't guarantee that, but I'm gonna try. And I hope you all will try too. That's my challenge for you. :D

End Of The Year Accomplishments

Windows down, the night blows in. I tap a beat on the wheel as the tires spin. Until we're there, we'll crank the radio and we'll join in with the songs we know. Hey everything's right, said everything's right tonight. ~Matt Wertz

So I gotta say, the last couple weeks of school wore more then stressful. BUT somehow in the midst of all that death, I was able to make some end of the year accomplishments. So here they are...drum roll please...

1.) I FINISHED MY JUNIOR YEAR!!
2.) I got a "B" in AP US!
3.) I got Robbie to sign my yearbook. :D :D haha
4.) I got a boyfriend! yay. :) :)
5.) I made a "What Is Love?" video.
6.) I had an epiphany
7.) I watched my cousin graduate high school. Congrats Ryan!
8.) I had a reconnection with a long lost family member. I miss her.
9.) Finally got football community service hours signed off.
10.) Finished "Captivating"...read it, read it, read it...do it.

SO there are definitely some BIG things in there! Even though I was pretty ambiguous on quite a few of them. :D Sorry guys. Well, I hope that (excluding finals) the last few days as Juniors were as accomplished for you as they were for me. And I hope you all have an amazing summer, because we deserve nothing but....nothing. Yeah, we deserve to have absolutely nothing to do, because I haven't had a day like that since Junior year started.

Captivating Quote # 3

You are a woman. An image bearer of God. You were chosen before time and space, and you are wholly and dearly loved. You ar sought after, pursued, romanced, the passionate desire of Jesus. You are dangerious in your beauty and your life-giving power. And you are needed.

As a woman who has been ransomed and redeemed, you can be strong and tender. You speak to the world of God's mercy, m yster, beauty, and his desire for intimate relationship. You are inviting; you can risk being vulnerable, offering the weight of your life as well as your need for more because you are safe in God's love. you labor with God to bring forth life - in creativity, in work, in others. Your aching, awakened heart leads you to the feet of Jesus, where you wait on him and wait for him. The eyes of his heart are ever uon you. The King is captivated by your beauty.

We need you. We need you to awaken to God more fully and to awaken to the desires of the heart that he placed within you so that you will come alive to him and to the role that is yorus to play. perhaps youare meant to be a oncert musician or a teacher. perhaps you are meant to be a neurologist or a horse trainer. Perhaps you are to be an activist for ecology or the poor or the aged or the ill. You are certainly called to be a woman, wherever else he leads you.

And that is crucial, dear heart. Whatever your particular calling, you are meant to grace the world with your dance, to follow th elead of Jesus wherever he leads you. He will lead you first into himself; and then, with him, he will lead you into the world that he loves and needs you to love. It is by invitation.
