Okay so my mother got an email from my Aunt Paulette yesterday aaaand it was a link to a Youtube video....my Uncle Steve freaking got up on stage after Neil Diamond and sang "Coming To America" hooow cool is that?!?! What the heck? I knew I had to have SOME kind of awesome relative living out there! haha here he is....

To state the obvious...I am reading a book called Captivating by John & Stasi Elderedge...and to say the least...it is incredible. I have never read a book that made me want to quote every single line that the author's write. So I decided that I am going to periodically quote some of my favorite passages...it's a lot easier then writing them down...

Catch Up

Well...basically I think this whole blog thing is dying down...I don't really write in it as much as I use to. -__- I'm not exactly sure why because you would think that I would write on it more now that I have time. Anyway, here is the week that I failed to update you guys on... Just went and saw Letters To Juliet and had lunch at CPK with Abigail!! :D It was such a good movie. Two thumbs up for sure! I'd say it is worth while to go see.

Went to a last minute Padre game with Keenan and his fam bam for his birthday...the Padres lost to the Dodgers (not too surprising) haha XD

My LAST softball banquet EVER! I am never ever going to go to another one unless it is for my own children...that is so weird to think. haha Anyway, it was funny cause me and Madeline perfectly picked who was going to win the awards.

Tonight...I am going back in time to the 1930s. This idea was given to me by Madeline about a year ago, but I never ended up trying it. Anyway, the basic idea here is to curl your hair using socks. It is something that you definitely want to do while nobody is around because it is quite embarrassing to have socks hanging off your face. Especially if you are like me and your socks are themed. I got christmas, striped, halloween etc. It's like a celebration on my head. You should all try it. Apparently this method actually works pretty well too! Easy and efficient...iii like it! Do it! Do it! Do it! Do it! :D

God Is Good All The Time!

This night was probably one of the greatest nights of my life. Even if it was the day of AP testing, because this concert completely eliminated all the previous stress and worries that I had. I cannot even describe how incredible it was, the effects are still ringing inside me.

Since the pictures went out of order, I'm going to start with the end of the night and work my way backwards. So after the concert we were outside waiting for the traffic to clear and we saw a bunch of shirts that said YouMe on them. So we asked the guy, Willie Register, to explain to us what it is. You can click on the link to get the full explanation but I will do a shortened version for you. Basically, a piece of the clothing that someone in need was wearing is stitched into every YouMe shirt. So there is a patch on every shirt that could have possibly been worn by a mother, father, or child in Uganda...for one example. I am still amazed by the whole idea.

Before discovering the t-shirts, me, my sister, david, michael, and victor got signatures from all the people that performed in the concert: Matt Maher, Phil Wickham, and Leeland. They were so awesome! Abby made a good point when she said how it was cool that they all asked us if we had fun at the concert. They are probably exhausted but they still wanted to make sure that we had a good time. It was pretty cool. So we got our picture taken with Matt Maher! It basically made my day because he is one of my favorite Christian singers...of all time. :D

Rewinding even further to the actual concert.... That is Phil playing...yes, we are on a first name basis. haha XD I chose/stole this picture because it showed how everyone has their hands raised high in praise. Being surrounded by so many people who are so on fire for God was just incredible. One of the singers said that when two or more people are singing together in worship that the Lord is in their presence. When he said that, it just gave me goosebumps. There is no doubt that you could feel His love inside the church.

In conclusion! BEST NIGHT EVER!! And I got to cross go to a praise/worship concert off my bucket list. So it was a win win win win win situation! GOD IS GOOD ALL THE TIME!

AP SAAPTBIPRAOSOTI

So I have labeled this post: AP SAAPTBIPRAOSOTI because I should be put into Advanced Placement Students Against AP Testing Because It Puts Ridiculous Amounts Of Stress On The Individual. And I would ace that class. I think I can speak for everyone who is taking an AP class that the amount of stress that it puts on us is more than overwhelming. And I know I don't even have that much merit because I am only taking two, I cannot even imagine taking more than that. I would probably die...

OOONNNN the brightside....IT IS OVER!!!! AP US is completely done with!! I was SO incredibly motivated to do well on the test...I mean I just want to at least pass it. Is that asking too much??....Probably. I guess we shall see. I wish you all the best of luck!!

DAY 2!

Day TWO of my birthday was equally awesome because I got to celebrate both mine and Maddie's birthday!! We got to go to Disneyland/California Adventures. Woo! Gosh, I feel so blessed that I actually have the opportunity and ability to do such great things like this. It's definitely something I won't take for granted!

Madeline took me on the Tower of Terror...and it was pretty embarrassing to be freaking out while you watch five year olds walk on to the ride as well. ><

It was so fun though! That ride along with all the other ones! The most bizarre thing though was that it was supposedly 'Bat Day' at DLand and so everyone was dressed in Gothic clothing, it was quite the sight. It was like a nightmare turned into a reality, but awesome nonetheless..

Finally! High School Musical preformed! woo! haha XD

Birthday Part 1!

It feels like it was a long time ago, but my birthday was SOO much fun! It is cool to be surrounded by people who can just make things fun without having to plan a bunch of games, or events, or have to go spend a bunch of money to find entertainment.
