5 Stars

You're a beautiful woman, you deserve a beautiful life. Nothing less ~ Jacob

Yesterday I went and saw this movie with my mother and I have to say that it completely exceeded my expectations. Movie critics were giving it horrible reviews, but I am convinced that they saw an entirely different version that I did because I thought it was absolutely incredible. If you haven't seen it already, please go! And if you have nobody to go with...take me! It was a truly wonderful cinematic experience. Plus, it is playing at the cheap theaters so don't worry about spending money!

Fairly Good Week...

It took me all of a year to put that poisoned pill to your ear. But now I stand on honest ground, you want to fight this love, but darling you cannot wrestle a dove.

The del mar fair is such a unique experience, there truly is nothing like it. I am so blessed to have been able to share this memory with three of Temecula's loveliest ladies. It was definitely the highlight of the week....but lets roll on with other honorable mentions

~i found a box of letters that i had been writing to my future husband...started writing to him again. he will appreciate these someday
~ SYTYCD Season 8 has begun....finally true beauty will be shown on tv
~ I met 4 people from Missouri this week...all of them Cardinal fans.
~ made my first payment on my apartment...i felt old.
~ realized adele is amazing...she's got my back.

Daddy Day

God gave me your eyes, but it was you who taught me how to see

THIS...this is my dad. And he is the definition of a good father. I feel like there is no proper way to celebrate how wonderful he is...and it definitely cannot be done in just ONE day. And maybe there really isn't any means that could correctly describe the impact he has had on the lives of both his kids. In fact, why don't we just consider him indescribable. He has given me more than I could repay in two lifetimes and for that I am forever grateful. It is such a blessing to be able to call him my dad and an even better honor to call myself his daughter. Happy Fathers day dad! I love you!

T[w]1n x 3

I'll try to stay cool when things get bad and that's why I have you. ~ Brighten

These two are some of the greatest best friends I could ever ask for. It was just an awesome day spending time catching up with my twins. Everything in our lives may be rocky, but our friendship is just SO strong and I am so blessed for that.

Renewed & Ready

We must go, live to feed the hungry, stand beside the broken. We must go. Stepping forward, keep us from just singing, move us into action, we must go. Fill us up and send us out ~tim hughes

Last Sunday I decided to go to Antioch at Rancho Community Church completely on a whim. Antioch is just like regular church...but for young adults and at 7 p.m. So, I didn't bring anybody, didn't really know anything about it, and I didn't know a single person who even attends it, but I went anyways. Don't ask me why I went, but I am so glad I did. It was perfect...you could say. Every worship song absolutely melted my heart and the talk was so profound that I was almost overwhelmed by all the richness within the speakers words. That night, I came alive. Heart, soul, mind, body and spirit...completely renewed and ready. I will definitely be going back next Sunday.

Oh Weddings....

You don't know the greatness you are. Cause blue eyes you are destiny's scene. Cause blue eyes I just wanna be the one, I just wanna sing a song with you

Why are weddings so absolutely wonderful?? I just got back from Seattle where I attended one of the greatest weddings I have ever been to. It was SO much fun and I literally did not want to leave. Usually I feel like as if they drag on and on, but this one was just perfect :) So happy that I actually got to make the trip up there with my madre!

Adventure # 1

Then in the darkness of this room you snuck up next to me. You put your hand upon my wound and whispered 'rest in me'. And there I stepped out of the tomb and into destiny, the rest they say is history. Your grace is such a mystery. ~Jimmy Needham

From Wednesday until this morning I have been spending my days up at San Elijo Beach with the lovely Miss Madeline and her papa. Beach camping, I have to say, is one of the greatest inventions ever. It was awesome to have three days of catching up with my best friend....while the waves constantly remind us that we were RIGHT next to the ocean. Yesterday we rented "matching schwinns" and biked down to the next town. There is no better feeling than peddling down the highway with wind in your hair and the ocean just to the right of you. It was peace at its best that's for sure. This was definitely a great way to spend my first actual summer adventure! Woo hoo!

Some Days...

Some days are just hard. I think we can all agree on that. But have you ever had one of those days where absolutely no happy song, bible verse, or perfect advice can make you feel better? I really wish they could...but they just can't. I know this sounds awful, but I have a point I promise!

I think I just have to remember that this is God's biggest test for me. This world is going to try and break you down when you are at your weakest. It is the whole "when it rains, it pours" theory. But it doesn't have to pour....it really doesn't. Our state of mind changes much more frequently than our situation. It is terrible how we let things linger. The past does not deserve to hitch onto the back of our minds and hearts and ride on into the future. Therefore, we shouldn't even make that an option. Keep on keepin' on darlins!

BEATles

I know it's only rock and roll, but I like it.

Last night I was talking to my parents about the transition of music and if they got sad when we went from rock & roll to rap. They both kind of agreed that it was a bummer when this world started to get more computerized and poppy. Sometimes I get so frustrated with todays rappers. I mean, they have an opportunity to say something and they choose to write about drugs, sex, girls, and alcohol. It is such a shame. If a rapper were to say something that was worth his/her breath, then it is called poetry. They do have the incredible talent of improv and wordplay, but why do they waste it on words that lack any meaning at all? What is even worse...is that our society buys it! How awful.

Don't get me wrong...I do have my days where I just want to hear a good beat. But I would take rich lyrics over a strong beat any day. So hopefully a new wave of music comes in that is actually influential on society. That would be so refreshing.

I'll tell you that I will love you for you, not for what you have done or what you'll become. I will love you for you. I will give you the love, the love that you never knew.

Love Is Waiting

I could live a lifetime with you and then do it all again and like I can't force the sun to rise or hasten summer's start, neither should I rush my way into your heart.

Can I please just elaborate on how amazing the above lyrics are? It's from the song Love is Waiting by Brooke Fraser. I think a lot of us need to realize that love is going to wait until we are ready. And like all wonderful things such as the sunrise or the beginning of summer, it takes a while. But boy is it a beautiful climax. Love lasts for forever so why try to hasten into somebody's heart? In the song it says "when it's time to walk that way, we wanna walk it well." That is so true! I cannot even put that into any other words because I believe it is already said perfectly. You should look up this song. 'Tis wonderful.

JOB 8:21

My Beautiful Bride,

You are never alone, My Beloved. When you hurt, I hurt, and it breaks My heart to watch you cry without Me. I am here with you, desiring to be the shoulder your tears fall on. I too walked the world broken, My love. We will work through any and all things together. I can and will heal your broken heart. Call out My name, Jesus, in your dark hours, and I will hold you. Will you give Me a chance to love you back to life again? I promise that you will see the light of a new day and joy will come again.

Love,

Your Prince

Oh Rodney...

But I will never show the toll it's taking, cause I'm invisibly shaken.
